DragonBall Z: Reload Timeline

Timeline of Events

"There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another which states this has already happened."
-Douglas Adams, "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe"

"Been there, done that, got my ass thrown in jail for it."
                   -Antan Kaiohshin

Naturally, every anime should have a canonical timeline for itself to detail the events that transpired to make it what it is today. The RPG is no different, and what is to follow is a fairly detailed outline of the events that have occurred as far back as the beginning to better place the "where's" and "why's" of some things and people. If you are looking for the detailed, strictly Dragon Ball-based timeline then I suggest Wikipedia because this timeline has been altered to include events that are canonical to only this RPG and it's respective characters.

Please keep in mind that this timeline will be under near constant revision, to add events that occur both now and in the past depending on if a new character or scenario is introduced. If you don't see something or someone that you know should be included, please contact me with the information.

They also meet the Briefs for the first time, and find out about the Dragon radar. After a brief argument, Vejitina leaves with it to go find the Dragonballs. ·         763 A.D. July 8th

·         763 A.D. July 10th

Musei takes a day off from work to explore the Earth, and feels her Elemental Sense go off while she's passing through a mountain range in the west. It leads her to a remote village, where she is reunited with her old mentor, Yasei, who had arrived there a few years prior, and resumes her original training.

·         763 A.D. July 13th

Due to a plan between Kadila and Chiller to "make" the two Saiyajin cooperate, Vejitina and Jekyl end up locked in the reactor room of Chiller's damaged ship under the ruse of a leak. At length, the two come to an understanding and are released.

Hanayasai arrives on the planet, and a confrontation is had between the three Saiyajin. After a fierce battle, Hanayasai is narrowly defeated when his tail is removed and he is eventually driven off by Chiller. Vejitina dies shortly after from her wounds.

·         763 A.D. July 14th

Jekyl awakens from his injuries to hear the news of Vejitina's death by Kadila. Jekyl takes the initiative, along with the Dragon radar, to collect the Dragonballs to wish her back. Kadila tags along to help out of guilt for not being fast enough to help prevent it in the first place.

During his search, Jekyl faces off against K-1800, whom he defeats. The commotion brings a still-wounded Hanayasai out of hiding, and the two Saiyajin fight again.

Both Saiyajin are at a disadvantage, and Kadila finally ends the fight by dropping Hanayasai down a hole in the ground and subsequently covering it.

Jekyl resumes his search proper, and finds the last Dragonball within the halls of an ancient ruin. He is confronted by Koutaigou, who begins subtly manipulating him into pledging his soul to the goddess Lillith. Kadila tries to intervene, but is outmatched.

Before Jekyl can swear his oath, the Dai Kaiohshin allows Vejitina's soul to briefly return to stop him. Jekyl remembers what he initially came for, and grabs the final Dragonball. All three escape the ruin.

Jekyl wishes Vejitina back to life.

·         763 A.D. July 22nd

After nearly a week of mental and spiritual temptation, Koutaigou once more attempts to sway Jekyl outright; appearing to him and Vejitina both this time. She succeeds in gaining his cooperation, and leaves with him back to the ruins to complete the ritual. Jekyl pledges his soul to the Goddess Lillith, and in turn receives shadow-based powers. Koutaigou charges him with killing the other Z Senshi and forcing Kadila to reveal the exact location of Motav Knight.

Vejitina initially decides to go alone to rescue him, but ends up arguing with Kadila when he insists that she rethink her strategy. Jekyl appears in their midst and Vejitina is forced to fight with him while Kadila flees but remains nearby. At the end of the fight, it appears as though Vejitina is finally managing to get through to Jekyl until Koutaigou recalls him to the Temple.

Jekyl lashes out at the Priestess, and she summarily turns his own shadow against him. Figuring to break him, she herself goes to Capsule Corporation to finish what he started, but Kadila quickly teleports with the Princess to prevent this. Realizing that Vejitina will inevitably come for Jekyl, Koutaigou returns to the Temple to await them. She is not disappointed, and a battle ensues within the Temple after Koutaigou attempts to sway Vejitina to give up her soul the same as she did Jekyl.

Driven back by a surprise attack by Kadila, Koutaigou urges Jekyl to kill them and be done with it, while Vejitina urges him to take his soul back. In the end, Jekyl manages to pull his soul back to himself and the High Priestess is repelled in a short fight afterward.

·         763 A.D. July 24th

The cosmic horror, now identified as #00, finally arrives.

After a lengthy battle, #00 is defeated by a full-power Death Ball attack from Chiller.

·         763 A.D. July 27th

After the day's training is over, Musei and Yasei discuss the cosmic horror to come, not knowing it has already been defeated. Musei boldly states it's no problem since as far as she knows, none of the other Saiyajin have died yet and therefore they can be wished back with the Dragon Balls. Yasei uses her powers to consult the fire and see if this is still true, and shows Musei a vision of the battle between Vejitina, Jekyl, and Hanayasai and its results. Feeling both furious and guilty since she wasn't there to keep Vejitina from dying, Musei ascends to Super Saiyajin.

·         763 A.D. July 28th

During an outing to enjoy their newfound peace, Vejitina is unknowingly possessed by Koutaigou in the form of mist.

Kadila makes another visit to Antan, who informs him of intruding "ripples" originating from another timeline entirely... though neither of them seem to know what this portends.

·         763 A.D. July 29th

Koutaigou makes her presence known after getting the whereabouts of Motav Knight from Kadila. She leaves shortly afterwards on the premise of setting him free.

Kadila informs Jekyl of the holy water at Kami's Lookout, and they go to retrieve it. They are interrupted when Kadila senses the arrival of the ones who caused the "rippling effect" Antan spoke of days ago, and they investigate.

Mirai Endou and Astrea arrive in this timeline in an attempt to stop the awakening of the goddess and the subsequent destruction of their own time. They are confronted by Jekyl and Kadila and, after a short fight between Endou and Jekyl, they decide to join forces.

The holy water is retrieved, and Kadila teleports the group into the depths of Hell to confront the High Priestess. Over the course of the confrontation, Vejitina is freed from Koutaigou's possession but Motav Knight's crystal prison is struck and nearly shattered by a bolt of magic from Kadila... but it remains mostly intact.

The group leaves Hell.

Unbeknownst to them, Motav Knight's prison finally breaks, releasing him from centuries of confinement.

The Mirai's reveal the truth of their lineage as well as what happened to their timeline. They are allowed to stay at Capsule Corporation until their time machine finishes recharging.

·         763 A.D. July 30th

·         763 A.D. July 31st

Vejitina and Jekyl discuss the state of the Mirais' future, and decide to see if anything can be done to alter their timeline for the better. They go to Kami's Lookout and speak with Korin, who informs them of Kadila's punishment. He also tells them, at length, of the "God's Heart" artifact -- the only thing powerful enough to nullify the powers of the goddess and her avatars.

In a bid to get the artifact from the Dai Kaiohshin, they visit a rather distraught Kadila at his concert hall. Kadila has no knowledge of the artifact whatsoever, but promises to contact his mother and find out. The two Saiyajin return to the complex and inform Endou and Astrea of what they've found out; leading to mixed reactions on all sides.

At length, the Dai Kaiohshin appears along with Kadila to address the situation and he reveals the artifact's hiding place. After more discussion, it is agreed upon that Jekyl and Kadila be left behind while Vejitina and the twins go to stop Motav Knight at the ruins.

Motav Knight abruptly attacks the two of them, however, and reveals that the entire ploy was a setup to lure in a potential replacement for Jekyl. After decimating the capsule house, Motav Knight leaves and Jekyl and Kadila make their way to the ruins... which have been rebuilt into the temple it used to be.

Fighting their way inside, the duo initially finds and releases a captive Vejitina. They then continue to the highest point of the temple, where they confront Motav Knight again... along with the twins, where it appears that Mirai Endou is about to walk down the same path of his father after his sister's life is threatened.

After an argument, a fight begins against Motav Knight, who proves to be almost too much for all of them to handle; even after Kadila invokes the power of the artifact to nullify the dark powers bequeathed to him by the goddess.

In the end, Motav Knight opens a rift into the Void in an attempt to drag all of them into it but is knocked into it himself by a last-ditch group attack. The rift finally seals, and they vacate the temple with Jekyl razing it to the ground all over again in a stroke of finality.

·         763 A.D. August 3rd

With their time machine recharged and the threat of the cult severely diminished, the Mirai children leave this timeline to return to their own -- carrying the God's Heart artifact back with them as a 'gift' from Kadila.

In lieu of Havok's consistent failures, King Kold orders him to accompany his son, Freiza (now rebuilt into a cyborg) to Earth on a mission of revenge against Goku.

·         763 A.D. August 11th

While trying to repair his damaged ship with Dr. Briefs' help, Chiller's communication systems pick up a signal indicating that Freiza's ship is nearly right on top of them. Surprisingly, Chiller agrees to help Vejitina and Jekyl fight against his own brother.

Hours later, Freiza lands along with Havok and Jadoku. The two minions engage the Saiyajin while Freiza talks down to Chiller and orders him aboard his ship to prepare for take-off after the fight is over with. He then moves on to the fight itself, and fairly dominates the two Saiyajin for most of it.

Chiller tries to talk his brother out of destroying the Saiyajin, but isn't heeded. Freiza eventually strikes Jekyl down with a Death Beam, causing Vejitina to go Super Saiyajin for the first time and kill him.

Jekyl recovers from his wounds via senzu. Havok and Jadoku take Chiller to use as a bargaining chip to spare themselves Kold's inevitable ire over Freiza's death and leave the planet.

Realizing Chiller's missing in the aftermath, and that if Havok reports Freiza's death to Kold that the entire Empire will come down on Earth in retribution, the two Saiyajin resolve to go after them. To that effect, they get Kadila to release Tounasu's pilfered pod to Dr. Briefs for modification.

Towards the end of the day, Havok's ship is finally located en route to the Imperial Capitol. Having already ridden on the Imperial codes preprogrammed in the pod initially for Tounasu, Jekyl suggests pretending to be Tounasu in order to gain easier access to the ship.

The ruse works, and Havok allows them onboard. Already fairly close to the Capitol as it is, the Saiyajin decide to continue with the charade to pay King Kold a visit and potentially end the threat he and his Empire poses once and for all.

The ship reaches the Capitol world of Kold Planet #1.

Chiller is presented to King Kold along with tampered "evidence" suggesting betrayal playing a factor in Freiza's death. At length, Kold decides to "forgive" his son; figuring he can still be of use to him later.

King Kold confronts the two Saiyajin in his throne room, who reveal they were lying in wait for him the whole time by pretending to play into the charade. A battle is waged, first between them and Kold's guards and even his Ginyu before the King himself is forced to fight, dragging a reluctant Chiller into the conflict as well.

At length, Kold is defeated but saved from death by Chiller. As "payment" for his help with #00, Vejitina decides to allow Kold to live and she and Jekyl make their leave. Incensed by his humiliation, Kold sends Havok and Jadoku to finish the two weary Saiyajin.

Jekyl and Vejitina are subsequently ambushed and nearly killed by them, but are saved when Kadila shows up with senzu after Havok and Jadoku leave to inform the King. Knowing they're not up for a "round 2" yet, they have Kadila teleport them back to Earth.

Havok discovers that the two Saiyajin have somehow escaped, and knows what it will mean for him.
